Who We Are

Omega was established in 2006

Omega’s Director, Lee Zammit wanted to build a support organisation that genuinely placed people at the centre of their supports. Lee could see an opportunity to improve the services and options available to people with disability and to people with psychosocial support needs. Those early ideas continued to develop, and Omega now provides community-based support services across metropolitan Melbourne. We pride ourselves on being flexible and open minded and we enjoy working with people to design supports that reflect individual needs and preferences rather than having a one size fits all approach.

Omega is a registered NDIS provider, and this means we must be independently audited and demonstrate that we meet stringent criteria to maintain our registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

These requirements include:

  • Ensuring our services meet the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators
  • Having a complaint and feedback management system
  • Having an incident management system, including a process for reporting incidents to the NDIS Commission
  • Ensuring our staff understand and adhere to the NDIS Code of Conduct
  • Maintain 100% compliance with worker screening checks, ensuring staff checks occur in accordance with NDIS Worker Screening Rules

Every Omega completes mandatory induction training which includes the NDIS worker orientation program ‘Quality, Safety and You’. Induction training is scheduled at the commencement of peoples employment and includes an introduction to human rights, respect, risk and the role and responsibilities of NDIS workers
